The Diploma of Music is a practical course, preparing and training students for the Music Industry in solo and ensemble performance, theory, music business, composition and recording, delivered through Alphacrusis University College.

​ 

The training for this course is delivered by Alphacrusis (AC), meaning they mark all assessment work, but Grow College is here to help you throughout the journey.

Who is this course for? 

This course is perfect for amateur musicians, upcoming worship leaders, performers, guitarists, praise vocalists, Christian recording engineers and sound techs. If you have a passion for music and want to receive formal training, then we recommend this course!

​

How does it work? 

Students gather weekly on a Tuesday night at our Portland campus at 6-8:30PM throughout the school term to watch the content together through online training videos, discuss the assessments, and begin weekly work. Alphacrusis marks all the assessment work, but Grow College is here to help you throughout the journey. 

​

How much time is needed? 

We offer this course over 2 years (part time/4 semesters). The course includes 8 subjects, with 2 subjects per semester. If you would like to complete this course full-time (1 year), please speak to one of our team or reply to this email.​

Do I need to have my own instruments?​​

Whilst it is better to own your own instrument, it is not necessary to own your own instrument. Many of the practical's assessments will be conducted as a group at church, where instruments such as Keyboards and drums will be available.
