FAQs
How does it work?
Students gather weekly on a Tuesday night throughout the school term to watch the content together through online training videos, chat, and discuss the assessments. Alphacusis marks all the assessment work, but Grow College is here to help you throughout the journey.
What subjects do we study?
We offer the Certificate IV in Ministry and Discipleship which includes 8 units, with one unit per term. The units are as follows:
- Personal Leadership
- God's story: The Bible
- Team Players and Teamwork
- Applying the Bible
- Discipleship 1
- Leading teams
- Discipleship 2
- Introduction to pastoral care
How much time is needed?
The duration of this course is 2 years part time (one unit per term). Each unit runs for 12 weeks with 9 weeks of content and 3 weeks to catch up on assessments. Each unit contains around 1 hour of video lectures a week with additional readings and resources prescribed for students who wish to go deeper. Preparation and completion of assessments will typically require 1-2 hours per week.
